What's on Tap - May 2020

What’s on Tap Quarantine Edition

Hi TPC members!

Here's a quick update from the remote offices of TPC's operations team.

According to the governor's most recent phased plan, TPC could potentially re-open some operations as soon as June 1st in Phase 2. Until we see evidence that test-trace-isolate can ramp up and Phase 1 has been deemed successful, we'll consider that a very optimistic guess but hope for the best. Either way, we have a lot of work to do internally before we feel we can open safely. Our staff will spend the next few weeks implementing changes to policies, operations and facilities that will help us to do that. The goal is to implement strategies that are both effective and easy to comply with, because we'll need full community buy-in to ensure success. Some of the changes are actually pretty cool and we hope you'll see them as improvements rather than sacrifices. We'll keep you updated on the blog and IG as we roll them out. We're also working with Offbeat Seattle to produce virtual tours that will highlight many of these changes. Until then, here's what's on tap!

You can find all of TPC's COVID-19 updates regarding policy changes and safety measures posted on the blog.

Virtual Conference & Classrooms

While the communal space is currently closed to non-essential workers, our meeting rooms are available for a single person to record or stream HD digital content. The spaces are COVID-safe, video equipped conference rooms and classroom environments. A few examples of use cases:

  • Record keynotes and presentations for virtual conferences

  • Live stream corporate trainings, classes or other educational content

  • Host a virtual white-boarding session with your team

Reach out to someone on the team if you are interested in trying it out or wanting to find out more details!

Video Rooms on the Members Portal

A new feature is now available for TPC members on the members portal! The Video Rooms feature allows you to conference call other "coworkers" directly on the members portal. Check it out if you're wanting to reconnect with fellow members you haven't seen in awhile. You'll see the option on the left hand side navigation when you log in.

WFH Survival Guide!

TPC has an ongoing WFH & COVID-19 resource page. The guide includes:

  • Local programs and financial resources for small businesses

  • WFH activities - music, work outs, recipes!

  • TPC member projects

  • Local businesses to support

  • Arts & Culture

If you have an idea or something that you'd like to see on this WFH guide, please don't hesitate to let us know at team@thepioneercollective.com or join the #apocalypse-resources channel on Slack.
